Nobody does Shakespeare like Impact. Following last year’s 1980s-themed critical and audience megahit A Midsummer Night’s Dream, we now set our sights on present-day Tinseltown for another beloved comedy, Twelfth Night. In our version of Shakespeare’s romantic romp of mistaken identity, a film legend pursues a bereaved starlet, entourages get drunk’d and Punk’d, and someone fresh off the boat—literally—makes a big splash in the business.
“Deliciously appealing…the casting is inspired…the principals in this production are wonderful.”—Contra Costa Times
“Revels in reinvention…Twelfth Night is not only transgressive—it’s transformative, transgendered, trans-everything.”—East Bay Express
“You’ve got to hand it to Impact Theatre: they make reimagining Shakespeare look so darned easy…strong comic performances…the enthusiastic cast and timeless humor win the night”—SF Bay Guardian
